People tell me I should investigate selling my pics on istockphoto and shutterstock.. what are your views on these? I know they don’t pay much, but its about volume and I can’t see too many people selling pictures on the traditional stock sites at inflated prices now a days??
Also, I used to know a publisher and they only ever paid £10 per pic and that included pics from some very well known names?
What do you think?
There are other agencies that sell photos for a higher price but I think the most important thing is establishing yourself and your photography.

I went pro on Smugmug and make just enough to cover the cost. However, as the photos sell, the total number begins to add up and finally, one day…

I’m afraid I don’t have any wisdom to share on this subject. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try and see how things turn out. What are some other venues for sale of your images?

Oh cool burstmode, how do u attract people to the site, or does smugmug hlp with that? pricing setting it must be hard?
